Mobile Diaper Station

April 7, 2013 by Leah

It’s gotten pretty difficult to keep our intrepid 10-month-old on his changing table during the torture sessions (diaper changes) to which we regularly subject him. So I went to Pinterest for ideas. Finding nothing, I turned to Google. As I was typing in “square metal basket with handle” (you really want a diaper caddy to be operable with one hand), I remembered the bike basket that never worked well as a bike basket that has been languishing in our sun porch for a year. I got it, removed the hardware for attaching it to the bike, and made a liner for it out of fabric I had on hand (purchased for a project that was outgrown before I made it). Then, to add to the festivity of the occasion, I made a coordinating changing pad. This one utilized a mateless bath towel. (Well, the mate still exists, but I accidentally dyed it an awful shade of grayish pink.)

  1. That’s an excellent idea, and I’m not sure why I hadn’t thought of it before! We won’t have a change table, as we wanted something that we could use in different rooms, so this will be perfect!
Looking forward to following your blog!

  2. GENIUS! We have a mover and shaker (I gave up the changing table a long time ago) and I am still trying to master the prefold change in multiple locations….this is a great idea!
